The Collective

Meet the Collective

We are a collective of health practitioners and friends seeking to guide you on your wellness journey.

We’re not here to tell you what to do with your body or how to handle your mental health. We’re here to offer guidance and clarity through various wellness counseling services.

Like-minded people tend to find each other.

That’s how the story of Wildroots Collective got started.

Through our journeys, we’ve witnessed what a difference alternative wellness can make in our mental health, emotional well-being, and physical bodies.

We all bring our strengths to our collective so that you leave our services feeling more balanced, empowered, and capable in your daily lives.

It’s our goal to give you the tools for self-care that can translate into making your dreams happen, whatever they may be.

So take a look around our virtual collective, and stay a while.

Sincerely,

The Wildroots Collective (WRC)

The Collective Img1Kari Mowbray, LCPC, MA Clinical Counseling

(she/her)
Clinical Therapist/Founder

Kari hails from the Last Best Place and, not surprisingly, embodies the genuine and open nature quintessential to Montanans.

Her journey with therapy has taken her from Oregon to Washington, to Minnesota, and finally back to Montana. She spent over two seasons as an outdoor therapist in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and the Rocky Mountains of Montana.

Now, she’s ready to transition from working with at-risk youth to work centered on women’s alternative wellness. Her focus includes recognizing the current political, environmental, and social climate and finding wellness alongside those realities.

She’s passionate about empowering others to find and harness their strengths and believes that each person’s “wildness” is a true gift.

KatKat MacIver

(she/her)
Astrologer, Certified Health Coach and Certified Meditation Practitioner
Website: www.nourishedrootshealth.com

Kat’s varying interests and talents make her a natural fit for WRC. She’s been studying astrology for a decade, though she started practicing as an astrologer when she discovered that it’s more than your sun sign! She believes that our astrological birth charts provide a unique blueprint, which can help us better understand our relationships and our strengths and weaknesses.

She understands the need to listen to our body’s wisdom as someone with an autoimmune condition. When Kat receives her certification from practicing as a certified health coach, she plans to use her knowledge to help women heal inflammation, manage stress, and understand the connection between mind, body, and spirit in our health and well-being.

If that weren’t enough, her day job is working as the Assistant Director for Pacific Mammal Research in Anacortes, WA, where she studies the Salish Sea’s harbor porpoise and harbor seal populations.

Kat offers wellness coaching that incorporates meditation, astrology, and more.

Kelly Wombacher

(she/her)
Certified Yoga Instructor
YouTube Channel: @wild_roots_yoga

Kelly studied at Shanti Yoga Studio and Teachers College in beautiful Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, where yoga’s magic changed her life. In our fast-paced culture where everything we could ever want is at our fingertips, it’s the subtleness of yoga that Kelly is drawn to. The adjustments to our body’s alignment and the shift in perspective seem small, but the practice facilitates positive and lasting change. She integrates joy and enthusiasm into every minute of her interactions with others.

Kelly was born in the Bay Area, California, and has spent much of her young adult life outdoors, skiing and embracing the mountains of the West. She has provided yoga to the Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint, Idaho, communities through studio classes, private sessions, and corporate group classes.

She recently moved back to California to reorient her career toward a more heartfelt and fulfilling direction. Kelly’s zest for life means she says “YES!” to challenges and demonstrates courage by going forward even when she feels fear.

Agate comes to Wildroots Collective as our certified Herbalist and Prenatal/Birth Doula. She approaches her work with the understanding that plants are keepers of community knowledge and can teach us relationship to self and others for emotional, spiritual, and physical healing. Agate centers reproductive care in her herbalism practice to address the well-being of all body systems. When working with pregnant parents, she blends herbalism, movement, and ceremony to assist the incredible transformations within your being.

In addition to her herbalism and Doula work, Agate teaches poetry to incarcerated and psychiatric-hospitalized individuals who learn the power of storytelling.
